Nanotechnology Window Sealant (self cleaning)

Nanotechnology Window Sealant (self cleaning) is an alcohol-based system which protects glass and plastic surfaces with outside applications against misting (to improve light efficiency and prevent uncontrolled dripping of the condensate).

 

The applied material produces a thin hydrophilic film on the surface which is only a few nanometers thick. The hydrophilicity of the surface is generated by a photocatalytic process when exposed to natural sunlight. The surface tension is increased above the air / water value there by causing the condensate the spread over the entire surface, resulting in a self-cleaning effect.

Durability:

Important:

Due to the photocatalysis (glass self cleaning), the contaminants and water are not repelled in form of droplets, after the prior treatment with our product.

 

Water repellant properties is not seen in panes applied with "Nanotechnology Window Sealant (self cleaning)". Here the process of cleaning is "photocatalysis". Self-cleaning effect often starts after 6 - 10 weeks.

 

Definition photocatalysis:

The TiO 2 has 2 abilities: (a)it is extremely hydrophilic this causes the drawing together and the strengthening of water as in the morning dew. and (b) the photocatalytic effect. This effect "cleanse" the window and splits organic particles extreme cases into CO2 and H2O.
